Personality & Characteristics: Lettuce is a gentle, kind soul who will easily befriend you and remain loyal. She is rather low energy. She is friendly, though may present timid at first as she gets to know her new environment. Lettuce loves to be pet and have her paw shook. She will open up to you like a book! In the house, she is blend between couch potato, mama's helper, and cuddle bug. She experiences bouts of gentle playfulness and moments of endearment. On occasion she will boop you for some extra love and may poke her head around the corner to check on you, just because. My foster dog is good with: Friendly with dogs, however may present timid and scared at first. NYC comes with many fur friends on the streets and she's working hard to absorb it all. My foster dog is: Some Shedding in areas she lies on. She is not BFF with the crate, however is food motivated and is entering the crate easier and easier as the days go on. When in the crate, she may whimper a bit but otherwise chills. She remains crated 6+ hours daily while foster mom is at work. Lettuce will sleep through the night on the couch. She is almost fully house trained with the exception of peeing outside, but this is normal for rescue's on their initial journey to a new home. Lettuce will poop outdoors. She is still braving the streets to find her perfect pee spot, and is currently adopting pee pads indoors as she trains. 3 Keywords for your pup:Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 2Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: QuietWalking Manners: Great on a leash. She will remain loyal to your heel and will not pull. She walks gently and with pace of mom. Occasionally she will put a pep in her step and take the lead. She may zig-zag and will sniff every inch of a new block. Appetite: Normal. Does the following: Lettuce may experience moments of nervousness outside, especially to random loud noises. She has adjusted to the constant car traffic and is getting better with not being distracted by so many humans. This is expected as rescue's transition and gets better as the days go on. She Uber's fine. She may cry some when placed in the crate and foster mom leaves. She benefits from some form of emotional support toy or treats to help calm that anxiety.
