This beauty is Diamond. Have you ever seen those dogs who nuzzle in closer when you stop petting them? They tell you clearly, "Yes! Please keep petting me!" and their single goal is to soak up all of your love. Well, that is Diamond. She will go back and forth to each person she is around and nudge your hand to make sure you know what she is saying and asking for. She is one of the smartest girls! We can never guarantee breeds, but we do think she may have some Blue Heeler/Cattledog/Border Collie in her, so we are looking for someone who has experience with herding dogs to adopt her. The best thing about Diamond is that, once she knows you, she is an instant best friend and wants to be wherever you are. She melts our hearts. The shelter has been a very stressful place for Diamond. She needs a home environment. The perfect home for Diamond would be one where she can get daily exercise as well as enrichment. While she loves to curl up close for a snuggle, Diamond also loves going for runs and it helps her! We have noticed that when she gets enough mental and physical activity, she sleeps calmly in her kennel. We want to reiterate how loving Diamond is. She would be the most loyal best friend you'd ever find. If your kiddos are older, maybe about 9ish and up, we think she could be their best friend, too. Diamond has done well during interactions with playful male dogs around her size. We're still watching her interactions with female shelter dogs and different sized pups. She would do quite well as the only pup in the home, too. Diamond knows how to sit politely and she takes treats so nicely. If you are active and like outdoorsy things but also love to snuggle up with an adorable dog like Diamond, please come meet her.
