This gentle giant is Blaze. And we do mean "giant," because he is about 115-pounds! Granted, he does need to lose a few pounds to get to a healthier weight, but overall, he's just an awesome big, lovable dude! Blaze has awesome manners. He doesn't jump up, he knows how to sit politely, and this guy will do anything for a tennis ball. He drops the ball perfectly at your feet and asks for you to throw it again. He doesn't zoom after the ball at a lightning speed, but he more so trots at his own pace. We are obsessed with him. He's just the best. In Blaze's previous home, he fulfilled his role of being the best furbrother to very lucky kiddos. He also did quite well with his dog siblings, too. Let's talk about a few more ways he is a perfect gentleman...Blaze did great at being house-trained. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, come, and he walks so nicely on a leash. Also! He takes treats so calmly you wouldn't even know he is taking them from your hand. Blaze is all about going for car rides. He also enjoys swimming, chewing on squeaky toys, befriending any tennis ball in his sight, and, no surprise, he loves snuggling. He will sleep on his dog bed or with you, if allowed. Blaze is neutered and is a little younger than three and a half years old, so if you'd like to adopt him, either call us at 219-872-XXXX to set an appointment or come by the shelter.
