This sweet boy appears to be a purebred Shih Tzu and was being sold on Nextdoor to anyone interested because the owner was "leaving the country and couldn't keep him" but we intervened with no intention of keeping him ourselves, as we already have three larger dogs who wouldn't be agreeable to this little guy. We suspect the owner wasn't aware this breed requires a lot of hair maintenance when they bought him. And because he had blood in his stool, it's likely they didn't know a hookworm infection can be easy to clear up. He's since been shaved, neutered, vaccinated and chipped. He's completely housebroken and goes outside for walks twice a day. He never barks and he likes dogs and cats and has been quite chill, yet spunky and playful when we walk by and scratch his head. He's like a spin top; wind him up and he'll go, go, go, but set him down and he'll lay like broccoli. We think he'd love a playmate but he'd settle for being the highlight of your day and your snuggle bug by night.
