Meet Mr. Portnoy, our 2-year-old handsome and jet-setting gentleman weighing 78 pounds of resilience. Brought to the shelter after being beaten and shot with a pellet gun, Mr. Portnoy is looking for a home where he never has to live in fear again. A certified “good boy”, Mr. P is a playful pup who will joyfully entertain himself with plushies, then stand by your side when he’s ready for gentle pets. Since our New Jersey Peach is just as sweet and adorable as his Georgia counterpart, it was only fitting he was named after the Famous Miss Peaches’ papa, who is helping to spread the word about the importance of adoption, while also advocating for fellow Pitbulls and their breed. If you are ready to pay the tummy tax, I’m ready to meet you! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!
