Adopt Frank a White - with Tan, Yellow or Fawn Schnauzer (Standard) / Labrador

Location:
Boulder, CO
Description:

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Frank is the puppy you want to have around! Frank, at just 2 months old and 8 lbs is just naturally a lover... and when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. .Frank is a beautiful and sweet as can be Schnauzer / Labrador Retriever mix with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Frank's mom is believed to be a Schnauzer / Bearded Collie mix. She is 40 lbs, and we believe Frank will be around the same weight full grown. Farfel's received a plea from Rescued Pets Movement in Houston to save the life of Frank's mom and her 2 week old puppies. All were scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space. They described the mom and entire litter as healthy, wonderful and just about perfect in their temperaments and sweet personalities. We were thrilled to accept both mom and her 9 adorable puppies into Farfel's Rescue. Frank's foster mom had the following to brag about this great guy: "Frank is the sweetest little man you've ever met. He has never had a case of puppy teething..he's SO gentle and never uses his teeth with people. This irresistible baby will shower you in kisses. He loves anyone he's ever met and made them fall in love with him using the assistance of his big puppy eyes. Frank is small but mighty and has so much love to give. Also, everytime you carry him he crosses his paws... it's ADORABLE!" Frank will have so much fun exploring, and taking long walks and hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Hiking and socializing with others is right down this friendly and active guy's alley. Frank is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude. He's a joy to be with and filled with nothing but pure love! Farfel's would love to see our sweet Frank in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loving and sweet puppy. We'd hate to see this social guy left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement. There's lots of tail wagging whenever Frank is around. He's such a happy and positive guy...his joy is contagious and wonderful! Frank loves backyard exploring! He's a curious and joyful puppy who shares his pleasure with all who are present. He's wonderful with his mom and littermates and will enjoy another dog's company in his forever home.I can say without reservation that Frank will be an excellent companion and best friend for a dog-loving family. Farfel's would like to see Frank in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog that we're unwilling to adopt Frank out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Frank's coat will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his gorgeous coat cottony-soft, shining and very healthy. Frank has been fully vetted and vaccinated to be in line with Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. Current research is very clear that neutering prior to 9 - 12 months old is not recommended for the health of the dog. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs at that time for Frank's neuter / microchip if one of our rescue vets is used. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loving puppy. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Frank please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
