Kiki ACCT-A-165078 is a 6 month old female who came to ACCT as an owner surrender due to the owner moving on 5/24. The owner noted that Kiki is high energy and walks well on leash. Behavior Notes: On 5/26 staff noted: Allowed handling and was sweet but was very barky at everything outside of the room. Alert barks at people on walks as well. KiKi was separated and divided into the back half for meal time. She was sitting by the door with big soft eyes and a wagging tail. When I opened the door she retreated so I crouched down and coaxed her over. She allowed me to pet her and place the leash over her head. She exited without issue. Pulls moderately on leash. As soon as KiKi got out of her kennel she began alert barking at every person she saw on our walk. She didn't pull towards them strongly, but did alert bark at multiple people multiple times. KiKi was a little nervous at fist. She sniffed around but hung out close to us. She allowed some pets with some whale eye, but warmed up after just a few seconds and started leaning into pets. She allowed all handling with no issues, but did begin barking during handling at sounds from outside the room. She did not redirect or bark at the handlers at all. KiKi alert barked at anyone who walked by the window and barking that she could hear. Engages in play. Interested in toys but does not take possession. On 5/26 during an adoption meet staff noted: Kiki did not do well with the dog meet. The resident dog was very tense and flashed teeth, and Kiki was not reciprocating in being social. Medical Notes: On 5/25 during an intake exam staff noted: Kiki was in good general health and was quiet, alert and responsive.
