** $230 in pledges to the rescue that pulls ** Buddy ACCT-A-153193 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns. Buddy must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER, FOSTER or ADOPTER by Sunday, December 31st at 10 A.M. Should Buddy's medical status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Buddy needs a new buddy! Buddy is a 9 month old male puppy who was surrendered to ACCT Philly on 12/09/23 because his owner passed away and their mother wasn't able to keep up with a puppy of his size on her own. He was described as being happy and friendly but needing a lot of puppy energy outlets and some training. On 12/26 Staff noted: Buddy seems to get in a conflict with another large male dog every time he is in playgroup. He does great with the females but has had several issues with other male dogs on separate occasions (different male dogs). He seems to do okay with other submissive/smaller males. He was described as: High energy, playful, once male came into play yard Buddy became stiff and had conflict with another dog. Was redirected with shake can/spray bottle. Playgroup 12/30: Rough/Rowdy. Humpy at times, but able to be redirected. Takes correction well from other dogs. Buddy was also very responsive to human requests for redirection. He did well with several different males. Playgroup 12/16: Buddy was a playgroup rockstar! He played appropriately and welcomed all dogs nicely. He has a rough and rowdy play style and enjoyed romping around. This dog loves to play with others in playgroup sessions at the shelter. On 12/13 Buddy attended playgroup and was described as being social, high energy, playful, and minorly obnoxious. On 12/12 staff noted: When I approached Buddy's kennel, He was standing on his bed looking at me. He would only walk around in a circle then back on the bed looking at me. When Medical Staff initially evaluated Buddy they found him to be a reasonably healthy puppy with no noticeable issues.
