Hi there! Our names are Creamsicle and Buttercup, what's yours? We are brother and sister, just over a year old, and we are Corgi mixes. Right now we're pretty thin, but when we fill out we should be between twenty and twenty-five pounds. Not too big and not too little - just the right size. We came here a little while ago when our people realized they needed help. We were all living together in a van - six dogs and our family - with hardly any food, and no vet care. Some of us have already been adopted, but the two of us had to wait until we felt better. Because of the conditions in which we were living, we developed some very bad skin conditions. The vet tested us for something called "mange", but that's not what we have. It could just be lack of good food and poor hygiene. With a healthy diet, regular baths, and consultations with the good vet, we are looking better already!We haven't been spayed or neutered yet, so we'll need to come back to the shelter for that. The vet wants our skin to feel just a little better before that happens. You see, we can't have baths for two weeks after surgery, and right now we get them every week.When we look for our new families, we would like people who will be committed to keeping us healthy and happy, but of course, who wouldn't want that? We are both friendly and happy little dogs, and we deserve better than what we've had so far in our short lives.We both like to play, we will chase a ball with you, and we will also cuddle up in your lap for the evening. We'll also need to be potty trained. We're not great at walking on a leash, but we're smart, so we can learn. Wouldn't it be fun to take us for a walk to the local dog park and watch us run and play with other dogs?If you already have a dog or two at home, that will be fine with us. We seem to get along with most other dogs, but we would like to meet them first, of course. We're not sure about cats, but we'd probably be OK if they promise not to be bossy or scratch us.We don't need to be adopted together, and honestly, it might be better for both of us have the freedom to spread our wings to experience our new lives.
