Bio: Arrow is an absolute sweetheart and ready to be the best companion ever. He is a 2 month old puppy who is eager to learn and make friends along the way. He is a very loving and cuddly boy who has a high energy level when he’s not napping. He loves to play and get his energy out over a course of 20-30 minutes before he begins to tire out and eventually naps again. When he’s playful, he absolutely loves going out into the yard (on a leash) with his foster sister and just rolling around in the grass and exploring the garden. When he’s inside, he loves to run around the areas he has access to and just play with his toys. Since he is teething, he has toys of different textures and frozen teething ones which help soothe his gums. He does not jump on any furniture and has not chewed a single thing inside. Although he has not ventured out yet for walks or interactions with other dogs since he is young and still needs one more vaccination, we are confident he will do amazing. His personality is contagious and one of the cutest pups out there - just look at those green eyes! We are confident that Arrow with thrive in a household with a yard that he can enjoy and with someone/a family that is active and willing to welcome him as one of their own. Personality & Characteristics: Arrow is energetic, playful, curious. He is quickly growing and in prime puppy stage. My foster dog is good with: Dogs and adults (has not been exposed to cats, other animals or kids) My foster dog is: no/low shed. Very comfortable being in a play pen and crate. 3 Keywords for your pup: Playful, energetic, curious Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 9 - he has full male puppy energy. Usually at an all time high for 30 min after he wakes up from a nap and then begins to calm down a bit and eventually fall asleep again. Barker? Or Quiet Pup? : Quiet for the most part. He is only vocal with a whine or bark when he wants to go outside or is playing with our resident dog. Walking Manners: Arrow was just introduced to a leash and collar this week for the first time and is making great progress for the short amount of time. He is a bit clumsy in general since his body is a bit big for him, but once he’s up and going he walks and prances perfectly fine. We’re working on walking side by side and pausing (without him rolling over). He is also doing great with going up and down a small flight of stairs. He sometimes hesitates, but with patience and encouragement he is able to do it on his own. Appetite: The boy can eat! He is very patient when it comes to waiting and will not beg, but once his food is placed in font of him he devours it. He’s been eating great and enjoying 3 meals a day (farmer’s dog food + plain rice mixed in) and two carrot snacks in between meals since he’s burning so much energy and quickly growing. He also enjoys small training treats as rewards when he acts like a good boy. Does the following: Currently teething, so he enjoys frozen teething toys to help soothe his gums. Does fine in the car (no sickness), does not climb on furniture and enjoys his personal space created in the play pen. Arrow understands down time (when we have things to do or need to give him a break) - he will while for 1-2 minutes and when he realizes he’s being ignored, he will simply play with his toys or take a nap. Favorite Things: Napping, playing with toys that have different textures (due to teething), morning snuggles after breakfast Commands/Tricks: Arrow is new to commands but is quickly grasping and understanding: No, stop, come, let’s go, easy/relaxALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract.
