Adopt BISHOP a Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White) German Shepherd Dog / Mixed

Location:
Dallas, TX
Description:

From his rescuer: I found Bishop as a stray in the Kessler Park area. I saw him cross the street to hide at a home that was under construction and was able to easily get him to come with me with the help of a resident in the neighborhood, but it was obvious that he needed help. I spent a little bit of time with him while we got to DAS and waited for intake, and here`s what I know about this stunning Shepherd mix:-He`s incredibly docile/calm and warms up quickly-He was good on a leash and seemed to understand at least some commands (like sit, lay down), but appeared to have been a stray for some time-He did really well in the car (no barking, sat still)-He was very quiet (he didn`t whine or bark)-He`s very food-motivated and affectionate after he warms up-He didn`t interact with any dogs closely, but from across the street, he wasn`t reactive at all to other dogs (basically unbothered)-He`s very resilient - survived on his own and in not-so-great condition for what seemed to be a while-Even though he wasn`t looking his best, he got multiple compliments on how handsome/impressive he looks-With some TLC, he`d truly shine-Because of his chill demeanor, I think he`d be really easy to bring places if you`re looking for a pal to hang out with-From what I encountered, my hunch is his activity level would be on the lower end, so I`d bet he`d be a pretty low-maintenance dog-He did well with everyone that he interacted with (men and women), but I didn`t observe him around kidsIf you meet him, you`re bound to fall in love — just like everyone who met him did in those short hours before he went through intake. Unfortunately, myself and the other person who helped rescue Bishop aren`t able to take him, but trust me — there are a couple of folks who will be jealous that you did :) I found him on the anniversary of my first dog`s passing, so I had DAS give him my late dog`s name: Bishop. I`m hoping you can help this Bishop and give him a wonderful life. I know this kind soul will return the favor tenfold.
