Riker can be the perfect loveable couch companion for someone that has the right environment and time to dedicate to him. He loves belly rubs, playing fetch, chewing on his toys, but his favorite thing is to lay on the couch and put his head on your lap! He absolutely loves his what he considers his inner-circle of trust! Working to expand that love towards individuals outside of the circle is what Riker needs help with, unfortunately his current home environment is not conducive for that. The current environment consists of 1 man, 1 woman, and 1 little and very energetic toddler! And he loves to give kisses to all of us. Unfortunately, Riker can be a little protective of his family and home, and we don't have the capacity to continue to work on his social behaviors to allow for him see those unknown to him just want to give him pets! Riker does have a bite in his history (approximately 5 years ago). He needs someone experienced with handling an anxious and loving dog!
