Adopt Orville a Black - with White Labrador Retriever / Newfoundland / Mixed dog

Description:
Orville does need to be an only child. He will do best in a home with no other pets or small children (he may be OK with teenagers, but that should be evaluated on a case by case basis). He has been through training to try to work through his issues, but that is an ongoing process. He seems to do best with people and pets that are low- key, calm, and controlled. All that said up front, Orville is an excellent companion dog. He is loyal and intelligent, and is happy to be his human's shadow when working around the home, but he can also be content sleeping on his "charging pad" bed throughout the day. He loves to cuddle and will take 2/3 of the couch or bed if he's invited up. He enjoys being active and is an excellent hiking companion (he'll even carry his own pack). He's house trained and crate trained, and he can be left loose in the house while his people are away without having to worry about coming home to a mess.
