Adopt Roger a Gray/Silver/Salt & Pepper - with Black Poodle (Standard) / Mixed

In February 2022 we bought Roger from a family whose 2 adults standard poodles had mated “accidentally” resulting in a litter of pups - he was 3 months old (DOB 11-13-21). He’s been very well trained and does it all - walks on lead, waits for release command, stays off furniture, doesn’t jump up on people and comes when called, he even does a few tricks. He kennels at night and often during the day, he loves his “place!” Fully house trained. Does well with other dogs, kids, and cats. Roger is incredibly food driven. He doesn’t guard his dog food or his treats/bones, but if he can get some “people food” he will aggressively guard it. He will bite those who try to take food away from him. He will take it right out of your hand, raid the pantry, eat it off your dinner plate. I don’t feel safe having him around my kids or guests when food is involved, so he spends a LOT of time alone in the yard or his kennel. He needs a home with another dog and less food temptation (I’m a chef) 😵
