Howdy, I'm Buster! I am an 8 month old blue heeler mix, and I am currently in foster to learn some puppy manners, like how to walk on a leash and come when my name is called. I am fully potty trained and crate trained. Since I am just a pup, I am still a little mouthy, but my foster mom is working on that too! However, since I am a heeler, a little of that is to be expected; herding is in my genes! For that reason, I would love to go to a home with heeler-savvy parents, and/or people with puppy training experience who are willing to work with my mouthy puppy habits. I'd love to find a fur-ever home with active people, but since I like to herd small humans and sometimes nip heels, I'd be better in a house with adults only. Right now I don't like being picked up or getting shots (who does!) but my foster mom thinks I'll get better at this with a little patience and trust-building. I am very good at using my words to tell you when I've had enough!I have a lot of energy and like to be active (I'd love a fenced yard and lots of walks!) but I am also good at chilling out and snuggling! I really like playing with other dogs, so I'd love some furry siblings, but only if they are my size or bigger. I'll have to meet any dogs in your home before going to live with you! I've met chickens and cats, and I reallllllly want to herd them. I might like a home where herding is my job, but I would probably do best without any small animals to chase. I could *maybe* be okay with confident cats who will put me in my place. I love toys and I don't tear up stuffies!My foster mom says I am really smart and a quick learner! I respond well to treats. I would make a great hiking partner and best friend for life. I get attached quickly and can't wait to find my person-- I am sure you will fall in love with me too! Even though I am petite, I don't think I would do well in an apartment because I cry if I am left alone too long. I am about 30lbs right now and shouldn't get much bigger, but since I am a mixed breed, we don't know what my adult weight will be. My puppy adoption fee is $300, Benton County adopters have an additional licensing fee of $10.
