Moose is a 9-month-old labrador / german shepherd mix. His DNA says 52% labrador and 48% german shepherd, but I'd say he has more of a shepherd personality. He's smart, playful (an expert fetcher), and occasionally strong willed. Moose is a very loveable, affectionate boy, but has some anxious/reactive traits that need some patient work. He most often walks great on a leash, but other times does some barking/lunging. He's good playing with other dogs off-leash in a playground and great with his brother. Human strangers make him nervous. He needs time to get used to people before he trusts them and needs to be on a short leash if approached. He's getting much better over time (2 months in), but he's just a little too much for certain family members to handle while walking another dog at the same time (Moose is our 2nd). We would love to find a patient home for him - he's going to be someone's best friend before long.
