Duke is a 4 year old Australian Shepard (pure bred). He is a very sweet natured and loving dog to his people and has been a blessing as we have fostered him over the last 6 months. He has been with two other families and we have spent considerable time with him to help build his confidence around strangers. He is a fearful dog and very protective, and he will use his herding/nipping instinct with people he doesn't trust. Duke has been through an intensive 3 week board and train program to build his confidence. He is now crate trained, strong with place command, off-leash trained, great running companion, and loves the water. We have been training with the e-collar with great success. Duke will thrive in a calmer house-hold with potentially older kids. Our kids are 2 and 5 years old and escalated kid energy can be hard for Duke as he wants to help control and protect.
