Meet Athena! She is a warm-dispositioned pittie/lab mix who is estimated at about 3 years old and weighs in at 64 lbs. She was a bit thin when we got her and we are still working diligently to get her back to a healthy weight. Not much is known about Athena's background other than she came from a shelter somewhere in KY due to overcrowding. We also suspect that she was used for breeding based on her appearance but cannot confirm this to be true. Athena is crate trained but was not potty trained when we got her. She's made great strides and improves every day, but still has accidents now and again. Due to unforeseen changes with work, there will no longer be someone home with her most hours of the day and she will need to spend longer than normal hours in her crate and will not receive the attention she craves and deserves. Being a younger dog with energy to burn, we worry the new arrangements will stifle the progress she's made.
