We are fostering Duke until a forever home can be found. He was severely malnourished when we got him, but no signs of trauma or injury and no fear of people or other dogs. Within 4 weeks, he has gotten to 56lbs. We've begun his vaccines, and preventatives for flea, tick, and heartworm and we had him chipped. We plan to have him neutered asap, prior to adoption. He knows basic commands - Sit, Lie Down, and Wait. He's very loving and affectionate towards all adults and children. He has urgency with food and is food motivated. Likely resulting from previous malnourishment. He's learning patience, but needs continued training. He would do best being the only animal in the home, but we're training him with our 3 dogs. We're working on crate-training as well as off-leash training. Due to his current size and continued physical growth, we think he's between 8 months to 1 year old. He's very sweet, has A LOT of energy, loves car rides, chew toys, cuddles, and being around people.
