Jill was obtained by my dad at a shelter in Huntsville in 2023. She was 3 1/2. Daddy had just lost his precious wife of almost 50 years, and really needed some company. He and my stepmother had another dog for about 12 years who passed away shortly before my stepmother’s death. Jill provided great comfort to my dad. She easy acclimated to his home, and she was very playful and well-behaved. She was very loving to him throughout his episodes of grief, staying by his side to comfort him. Daddy sold his home 2 weeks ago and is now living with a family member while waiting for his senior living apartment to be ready. He is battling several health problems - one required surgery and hospitalization, and he is under a doctor’s care. Jill is now 4 1/2 years old. Daddy loves her so very much, but can no longer care for her. He wants her to be in a loving home. He knows she will adapt well, and she especially loves children. She is a joy to be around - so sweet.
