Max is 9 months old and weighs 19 lbs.Max is a great boy. He is crate and potty-trained. He needs more leash-walking and training so he can gain more confidence. Max does best eating meals in his crate. He’s still learning no one is going to steal his food. Max is friendly with other dogs, but it takes him a few days to warm up to new pup friends. He does better with larger dogs because Max has a bit of a Napoleon attitude after fending for himself on the street for some time. Max would do well in a house with another dog that is confident and bigger than he is. He has not met any cats. Rescue story: Max and Layla were found abandoned in a park in North Houston. Thankfully, they were rescued and taken to a foster home.Max is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
