Female - 3 years - 65 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - ILHi! My name is Ellie and I am a 3-year-old, 65 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone at my foster home.I have done well with men, women, and older children with proper introductions. Smaller children can be a bit too fast-moving for me to feel comfortable. I will actively seek affection from my family and enjoy being loved on! I do well with visitors when I am allowed to meet them at the door though I can be hesitant and take some time to warm up. I have shown some barrier reactivity and don’t like when I am behind a gate when visitors come to our house.I do well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a canine sibling as long as they can be tolerant of my rough and tumble play style. I need supervised when playing outside to make sure I don’t get too rough with the other dogs, but I have met a variety of dogs from puppies to adults while with my foster family. I like having toys accessible to play with and have been learning how to play fetch! I cannot go to a home with cats.I ride well in the car and have been learning some basic commands like sit and come. I can pull hard on the leash so I will need continued training for walks. I do best with a confident handler who is clear with their expectations of me. I would love to be able to meet my new family in the Chicagoland area before I come home with you, especially if I’ll have any canine siblings!
