Rio is an amazing dog with a deep soul who needs more attention, training, and supervision than we can give her in our busy life. She's a pandemic puppy, born 4/20/2020 from Amish breeders in Pennsylvania. She is a "designer" mixed breed, 3/4 pug and 1/4 Jack Russell, called a "Jug." She's healthier than a purebred pug, with longer legs and more of a snout so she can breathe easier, but still cuddly and strong. The Jack Russell traits add some wild hunting instincts to the sendentary pug personality and it makes her a cuddly little clown but also a bit of an anxious wreck. We travel often and work long days away when she needs more walks and company. Rio has some behavioral issues, including being "leash reactive" where she often lunges at strangers, so she needs someone experienced with dogs, with a fenced in yard with room to run, who is home consistently to walk her and let her out. She hasn't bitten, but she's anxious/aggressive. She is mostly house trained but has accidents.
