Adopt Parker a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - with Black Golden Retriever / Mixed

Parker is a loving 64 lb, 7yo, neutered mixed breed who enjoys snuggling, giving kisses, being outside with his people, & short walks outside. He’s housebroken & crate trained, knows the commands kennel, sit, & down, & has been trained to walk on a leash with a prong collar. He’s sometimes anxious in situations where he’s uncertain of expectations, shows some signs of resource-guarding his food (but it’s well managed w/ food & large treats given in his crate only), & dog-selective (he doesn’t like males or pushy dogs, but gets along fine with our laid back female dog and standoffish cats), but is food-motivated & does well with positive reinforcement training. He’d likely do best as an only dog or in a home w/ a laid-back female dog, with no young kids in the home. We believe Parker would thrive if given more 1-on-1 attention & additional training to help build his self-confidence & bond w/ his new people!
