We rescued Willow from the highway five years ago. We looked for an owner, checking with shelters and posting in all the social media groups, etc. We vetted her and tried to re-home her because we had recently adopted a dog from a rescue organization and did not know if we could handle two dogs. We could not find a home for her, and we ended up falling in love and decided to keep her. Our two dogs lived together, ate together, played together, slept in the same kennel and life was good - until it wasn't. They got into a fight causing injuries to both dogs. Afterwards, they were fine again, living together, until several months later when the same thing happened. Pitt bulls are stereotypically protective, so we THINK she was "protecting" us from our other dog, but I am certainly not a dog behavior expert.This dog is incredibly sweet and she LOVES all people and is wonderful with children. I think she would thrive in a home without other pets.
