Remy is an 8 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. She has been part of our family for 7 years and is deeply loved. Unfortunately she has not accepted our 10-month old daughter into the pack, and would be happier with an active individual or family without children who can give her the attention she deserves. She is protective of her pack and her home but is deeply loyal and loves to be showered with affection. Remy also loves to go on walks and hikes - she comes alive on the trails and is a perfect loose leash walker. She understands basic commands (sit, wait, down, place) and is equally motivated by treats and praise. Remy has had anxiety since we adopted her at 1 year old and is currently on Prozac (cost of $5 per month). Because of her discomfort with children, we will only consider adopters without children. Although we have a second dog of similar size that Remy gets along with, she would be happiest as a solo dog or part of a family with dogs larger than her (75lbs+).
