Charleigh was a replacement dog for my dad's dog that died at 17. He was already quite frail when she got here. She stayed next to him wherever he was. She never took to me. I think I have a voice or demeanor or appearance of some one that was really unkind to her. She lived in the bathroom of a single wide trailer in New Bern. Apparently the larger dogs would pick on her so they put her in a bathroom cabinet and that's where she stayed till they took her out to do her business. She stays under the bed in the only room with furniture, because the house is sold 6/3. She comes out to eat and to go out. She won't stay in the backyard unless I go out with her. But she stays under the bed because I'm in the house. She got along with everyone else, but I guess I'm the boogie man. No one in the family will take her, and my daughter doesn't want a dog in the house when I visit her after the first of June. So in summary, she had a rough early life, a stressful 10 months, and just needs a home.
