Hi there, I'm Marcus! I'm an 11 month old Poodle mix, and although I’m currently sporting a shaved look, my fur is usually longer and even more adorable. At just 10 pounds, I'm a little guy with a big heart. My rescuers say I need to gain a bit of weight because I wasn't probably cared for before I was rescued, but I’m hopeful for a bright future with a family who will give me the love and attention I crave. I'm a friendly and social pup who gets along well with other dogs. I’ve been around kids too, and there haven't been any issues. One thing you should know about me is that I'm a serial kisser! I love giving out kisses to show my affection. I'm also quite jumpy, but since I weigh next to nothing, it’s just part of my playful charm. I’m full of energy and always ready to share my love and enthusiasm with my humans. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and lively companion, I might be the perfect match for you. I’m excited to meet my forever or foster family who can give me the love and care I have been missing out on. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
