Adopt HOT DOG Puppies - 2 Boys a Black - with White Border Collie / Mixed dog in

Location:
Corning, CA
Description:

🐕 🐕 HOT DOG! It’s the All Boy Puppies – Mustard (Representing) & BUN #AVAILABLE, KETCHUP AND PICKLE ADOPTED – 3+ months, 15 pounds – for more pictures please click https://norcalbcrescue.org/available-dogs/our-dogs/ 🐕 🐕 UPDATED - MUSTARD AND BUN AVAILABLE; KETCHUP & PICKLE ADOPTED. Welcome to the Hot Dog Ingredients; MUSTARD, PICKLE, and BUN...ain’t that a mouthful (KETCHUP & PICKLE ADOPTED). The Hot Dog Boys came into the shelter as strays, arrived in rescue a couple weeks back, and now are ready for their forever homes. These border collie mixes are a3+ months of age with all in the 15 pound range. KETCHUP is the only rough coat. The rest are smooth coats. Each are black and white, but PICKLE and SESAME have some added tan highlighting, in particular their eyebrows. These pups are so similar it’s almost scary. Shy and reserved at first, they have bloomed into smart, well-rounded youngsters. The HOT DOG PUPS are all smart and observant. They enjoy playing and romping around, a rousing game of tug, and chewing on toys. House and crate training are progressing nicely. They do well during the day, but are almost too quiet at night. They settle nicely in their crates for meals & down time. As a group they are pretty good at sitting on their own, but then that puppy exuberance takes over and all bets are off. Walk by and they perk up, sitting and watching to see if it’s time to eat or go out. Get their food bowls out and they KNOW what time it is. Open the back door, open the crate doors, and out they head for the great outdoors. They love treats, and with their enthusiasm should be a lot of fun to train. The following is our attempt at distinguishing among the four, but honestly depending on who is with them, what day it is, and a host of of other factors (take your pick) each description can be interchangeable with the other. In particular, you could swap bios for KETCHUP and MUSTARD bios, as well as swap PICKLE and BUN. MUSTARD is more methodical in his approach. He wants to get the lay of the land before jumping in, but once he is confident you are good folk, it’s game on. He then wants all the attention. His happy place may just be on his person’s lap. BUN has really come out of his shell. We think he may be the lover of the group. He wants attention, wants to be petted, and especially wants to be picked up to give hugs and get pets. BUN will probably be the last one to join in with new people, but may create the strongest bond with his family. ❤ ADOPTED - PICKLE ❤ is the independent pup of the group. He wants to observe. He kicks back and watches what is going on around him. He pretends he doesn’t want the attention, but scoop him up and put him on your lap and he will give you little kisses and enjoy being petted and loved on. ❤ KETCHUP ADOPTED ❤shows confidence in new situations. When he approaches new people, the rest of the group will gather round. Where he heads, the rest follow. When we let them out of the crate to go outside, KETCHUP usually leads the charge. If he goes to the water bowl they all drink. He loves attention, wanting as much as you will give. THE HOT DOGS would all benefit from a dog mentor in the home to show them the way and help build their confidence. They will need patience and attention to be the best they can be. These puppies are looking for activities like nosework, agility, or treibball that stimulate the mind and exercise the body. The more activities the better, and the stronger the bond that will be built. If you are looking for a fun-loving, adorable, young boy to include in all your family activities, you have come to the right place. The HOT DOG PUPS are current on vaccinations, as well as heartworm and flea/tick prevention. They are microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, they will need to be altered by their new owner when they reach approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to inquire (or apply here - https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) about the pups, please email us at XXXX@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. THE HOT DOG Puppies are being fostered north of Corning in Tehama County, California.
