Adopt Abby a White Great Pyrenees / Mixed dog in Tulsa, OK (41560115)

Location:
Tulsa, OK
Description:

Sometimes you have to wonder what goes through people's heads. Here we have the most adorable pup. She is fluffy, has the oh-so-cute "helmet head", and is just as sweet as can be. You would think that a puppy like this would be snatched up and would never end up in a crappy situation. Unfortunately, at only a few months old sweet Abby has already dealt with abandonment. You see, her former owner allowed her mom to get pregnant, and instead of stepping up and taking responsibility and ensuring mom and puppies are all taken care off...they decided they were going to move and leave mom and her puppies behind. By the time we had been alerted to the situation, mom and one of her puppies had disappeared already and there were 5 puppies left to fend for themselves on the property. No one was able to take them home, but some kind souls were going out there to feed them while they tried to find a place for them to go. By the time we were able to secure fosters for them...there were only two left. Sweet Abby and her sister Jocelyn. We are unsure what happened to all the others but we are thankful we could at least get these two girls to safety and give them their second chance. Abby is a 12-week-old, 23lb female Great Pyrenees. As cute as Abby may be, any potential family needs to understand that Abby will soon grow into an even cuter but much larger Pyrabear. Once this happens, things like personal space, having a house free of fur, and being able to move around freely will soon be a thing of the past. In Abby's world, she’s forever a petite lap pup, blissfully unaware that she’s transformed into a fluffy giant. The reality, however, involves you being buried under a mountain of fur as she makes herself comfortable on your lap, no matter how impractical it might be. Speaking of fluff, it is her pleasure to share her coat with you and help decorate your home, clothes, and car with it. Abby also has a knack for finding the coziest spots to plop down, which coincidentally happen to be the most inconvenient for you. Navigating around her will feel like a daily audition for Cirque du Soleil, testing your acrobatic prowess and flexibility in ways you never imagined. But hey, who needs a gym membership when you have Abby, right? True to her breed, Abby is a pretty calm and lazy girl. She isn't a puppy that needs constant interaction and exercise. She spends a lot of time just napping and hanging out with her people. Now, that doesn't mean you can welcome her home and just nap the day away. Abby does still like to have fun and enjoys exploring the yard, romping around with the other dogs, playing with toys, and the occasional lazy play session with her sister. Abby is still getting used to the leash, it wasn't something she was ever introduced to in her former life so you can imagine what an odd concept it is to her right now. However, once she hones in on her leash skills, we imagine that she would enjoy going on walks with her people and potentially even hiking. Now, if you're dreaming of a jogging buddy, keep scrolling. Abby might give you a couple of enthusiastic prances, but she’ll soon execute the classic Pyr plop, and then it's game over. As for playing fetch? Well, let's just say Abby's interpretation of the game involves chasing the toy... and then taking a well-deserved break. If you expect her to bring it back, you might want to settle in with a good book because you'll be waiting for a while. Abby's a social butterfly through and through, loving the company of both dogs and kids. She's all about soaking up wisdom from her canine companions and engaging in epic play sessions. While she’d adore having a furry mentor to guide her through life, if her family is around to keep the entertainment flowing, she'll be the happiest pup around. When it comes to kids, Abby's affection knows no bounds—prepare to be smothered in slobbery kisses! Sure, she might occasionally get a little overenthusiastic and attempt a full-on hug, but hey, it's just her way of spreading the love. As for cats, well, Abby hasn't had the pleasure of a feline encounter yet. But given her outgoing personality, we bet she'd try to start a game of tag or boop them with her nose, blissfully unaware of personal space. She's convinced that with her charm and persistence, she'll win over even the most standoffish of kitties—eventually! Abby's transition into domestic life has been like watching a puppy-sized fish out of water—exciting, a bit awkward, and occasionally messy. She's quickly falling in love with the cozy indoors, but the realization that she can't just "go" whenever nature calls has been a real eye-opener for her. Nonetheless, she's a little trooper determined to please her humans, and we're already seeing promising signs of progress in her potty-training endeavors. With a little more practice, she'll have the whole 'potty-trained pro' title in the bag. As for the mysterious contraption known as a kennel, let's just say Abby's initial reaction was less than enthusiastic. She might have had a few choice words about it (mostly of the barky variety), but she's come a long way since then. Nowadays, she's mostly kennel trained, though she might still throw in a disgruntled woof or two for good measure once she's in there. Hey, nobody said becoming a sophisticated indoor pup was easy! Abby's the kind of gal who's all about matching vibes. If your household runs on chill vibes and relaxation, she'll fit right in like a puzzle piece made of fluff. But hey, if you're a bit more on the active side, no sweat! Abby's up for some low-key adventures too—emphasis on the "low-key." She's a social butterfly through and through, so having other dogs and kids around would be like living in her own personal paradise. But if you're new to the whole doggy parenting gig, fear not! Abby could be your PYRfect introduction to the world of furry companions. Picture this: lovable cuddles, kisses that rival a rom-com, fur softer than a cloud, and energy levels that make a sloth look hyperactive. So whether you're looking for a couch companion or a partner in crime for your outdoor adventures, Abby is ready to steal your heart and make every day a little brighter. Get ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and the occasional fluffy cuddle that's sure to make your heart melt. ❤️ 📍 Pickup Location: Edmond, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3
