This polkadot heart throb is GORDYMr. Gordy is an approximately 22 pound; 4 month old mixed bundle of PURE LOVE! A native to the British Virgin Island, who landed in NY on 5/18/24, and immediately owned our hearts! At first meet, Gordy is extremely shy and timid. He takes a moment to warm up when in new environments or with new people, but once he knows he is in the presence of trusting and loving humans, and especially furry friends he wags his tail with pure joy! Gordy is friendly, and can live amongst large, small, medium, young, and senior furry mates; as his current foster has all of the aforementioned, including a Sphynx who Gordy loves in such a curious way! Gordy thoroughly enjoys the comfort and safety of his kennel; where he retreats, eats, rests, and sleeps throughout the night. Gordy does prefer his kennel cage door open; but will settle for it being closed - specifically if he knows his human is not home. Gordy is wee-wee pad trained, and actually depends on it to relieve himself, as he is just beginning to be exposed and go out doors on a leash, but is frightened by noises and will become timid - ready to return indoors. We are confident he will overcome this in no time! Gordy is a great eater - who eats a balanced diet of easily digestive foods such as salmon, lamb, or beef; he has explored both wet and dry food and equally loves both! Gordy has regular and solid bowel movements, and stays hydrated with no issue! Gordy will listen to redirection well, and becomes elated when rewarded with good behavior with happy cheering, clapping, head and belly rubs, and of course a good treat!Mr. Gordy is notably quiet (due to his shyness) and not very vocal unless he is excited. He is extremely intelligent, responsive to directions, extremely affectionate, loving, playful, loyal, and eager to please and be present to his person! Gordy absolutely loves his BARRKLI family for rescuing him, and loves his foster mama and furry foster siblings for showing him what love is, and allowing him to show it, and now, he is ready to live his forever life, and give the love that was given to him back to his FOREVER FAMILY!
