Champ lives for belly rubs and just can't get enough. He is timid and submissive. He was found as a stray and spent a day at his finder's house. He rode well in her car but doesn't walk well on a leash. We don't know if he is house trained so please be patient if you need to teach him. He is alert and curious and loves to explore. He was playful with his finder's dogs and is very interested in the shelter dogs. He was loving with his finder's children. He loves being as close as possible and sitting on a lap. He weighs 29 pounds so far and is quiet except when he barks in his run from frustration. You could help him out by giving him a home of his very own. Surprisingly he doesn't know what toys are for. He is just about the sweetest little guy you could ever hope to meet. Please consider adding him to your family. (tw, wm 5/2/2024)Foster update: Champ learned how to use a doggie door but is still working on house training. He now weighs 34 pounds. His favorite snack is chicken but he'll eat veggies too. He is easygoing, friendly, and playful with other dogs and LOVES the dog park. His favorite activities are running, toys, and swimming. He'll go on walks if you insist but immediately wants to go back "home" when he's done because outside noises make him nervous. He is gentle, quiet, shy, and lovable. Because of his timidity, he'll need to live with kids at least 12 years old.
