Adopt Iris Lynn a Brown/Chocolate Black Mouth Cur dog in Provo, UT (41555970)

Location:
Provo, UT
Description:

I bet you know exactly why this girls name is Iris. Did you spot the sliver of silver in one of her eyes? Its not a full heterochromia but more like a whisper of it. At an estimated year old and 33 lbs, Iris is a itty bitty cutie girl. We suspect she is a Black Mouth Curr/ German Shepherd mix but in rescue age and breed are offered as educated guesses, never a guarantee. This little girl has all the makings of a wonderful family dog! She is a great size, was so gentle and calm when she met a 3 year old, and exudes happy-go-lucky energy! The other side of that happy energy is a peaceful dog who isn’t vying to be the center of attention but will soak in the love if she is. She is eager to learn and happy to experience all the things the world has to offer! Given her age, attentiveness, and eagerness to please, training Iris is going to be a fun and rewarding experience for you both. When we introduced Iris to other dogs we quickly saw she has a type, with her favorite dogs being the calm and aloof ones. An ideal canine sibling for Josie would be calm but playful. She is definitely a peoples girl and would be equally fulfilled as your one-and-only. Walking on a leash is new to Iris but she has great basics! She’s full of excitement about the possibility of an adventure with you by her side. It really is the sweetest thing to see her light up when she knows you are focused on her, whether its for a training session or a belly rub, you will have her undivided attention! She is a total lovebug, she gives gentle kisses and takes treats with the softest mouth! On top of all of that, she was so good when introduced to our house cat. She showed interest but was perfectly respectful and not pushy at all. When the cat was wandering around the living room she didn’t attempt to chase or even follow the cat. Iris would thrive in a home with a yard for running and playing, a goofy and aloof dog, and would be a great companion for a family with kids. She also has potential to be an only girl living the apartment life. A loving home can look like so many things for Iris thanks to her size and well natured temperament. If you have any questions about iris or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email XXXX@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
