Hi,My name is Arrow, and I am looking for a forever home! They said that to stand out from all the other puppies that need homes, come up with a way to be different. My brother came up with the idea to write a poem for his video, my brothers and sisters wrote poems, so I wrote a poem as well. Here it goes! It is called “A Leap Year Pup Named Arrow.”In the warmth of Yuma's gentle glow,A stray named Lucy, with belly in tow,Found rescue's embrace as her time drew near,To bring into the world, what she held dear.Eight little heartbeats, in sync with the stars,Born on a day that leaps over Mars.February's rare gift, a date so unique,Gave us little Arrow, a pup so chic.With a coat like his mom, and eyes full of mirth,He sports a white mark, his badge since birth.Unlike his brother, who shares his hue,Arrow's love for people, forever true.More than a meal, he seeks your touch,For human kindness, he yearns so much.A leap year baby, with spirit so bold,In search of a family, a hand to hold.Though kennels have been his cradle and shield,He dreams of green fields and toys to wield.A house to call home, with warmth to bask,And a gentle soul, to whom he can ask:"Teach me the ways of this wondrous world,How to walk on a leash, with confidence unfurled.I promise to learn, to sit and to stay,To be your loyal companion, day by day."No feline has crossed this young pup's sight,But with patience and love, he'll learn what's right.Neutered, vaccinated, with a chip to find,Arrow's ready to leave his old life behind.So here's to Arrow, a leap year delight,May he find a home, where love shines bright.A family to cherish, to play and to roam,For this leap year pup, is ready for home.The EndI hope you like my poem and if you want to be my new family, please e-mail XXXX@caaronline.org to set up an appointment to meet me.If you are unable to adopt me, please share my poem to help me find my forever home.I can’t wait to meet you and start writing another poem about our new life together.
