Adopt Rosie a White Bichon Frise dog in Staten Island, NY (41569340)

Location:
Staten Island, NY
Description:

Meet Rosie! Rosie is a 3.5 year-old, 15 pound Bichon who enjoys walking outside and exploring the neighborhood. Rosie's superpowers include being extremely gentle and kind. She is very shy at first, but once she trusts you she will greet you upon arrival with a wagging tail and giant smile! She is great with other dogs. She would do best in a quiet home with someone who can give her a lot of time and attention. In terms of house training, Rosie is in the beginning steps of going potty outside. It took a few days to get her outside on the noisy city streets, but now she gets excited for her leash to come out! She is very smart and we are optimistic that with time and patience, she will figure it out. She loves to please and she loves to be rewarded for a good job! She often looks to her human for affirmation before trying something new and does well with encouragement. Some of Rosie's favorite things are meatballs, chicken soup, and peanut butter! She likes to snuggle with her plush toys in her house. She also loves a soft blankie and will curl up into one whenever she can! If you're looking for the sweetest girl who will greet you with a wagging tail every time you walk in the door, Rosie might be your perfect match! Rosie is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY, and her adoption fee is $600. Rosie is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
