Name: Emalee Best Guess for Breed: Some type of beagle/hound mix Best Guess for Age: 8 months as of May 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 20 lbs as of 5/23/24; she is still growing Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here Emalee is Looking For: Awoo! I'm Emalee. I landed in the shelter along with my sisters Dumpling and Ashton and you know what? It was probably our lucky day because now I am on the road to getting my own forever home! I'm not even a year old ago and I haven't seen nearly enough of the world. Actually, with my beagle nose, 'sniffed' the world is more accurate! I want my own humans for long sniffy walks and romps in the park and trips to all those exciting sniffy places! The mountains, creeks, yes please! I'd like to make plenty of pup and people pals along the way. And I'd like to go to dog school, too, so I can become super smart in addition to being super good at sniffing! But you know what I want most of all? To know who my humans are, to know whom to love. To be under my own roof. In exchange, I offer endless adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all my days.
