I’m Charcoal—a one year old male labradoodle who will light up your life! I’m potty trained and crate trained, and sleep through the night without a peep. My foster mom wakes up to me snoozing away and hoping I can sleep a little longer. Once the day starts, I can’t wait to have breakfast! I’m working on gaining weight to get in tip top shape for adventures (I’ll probably be around 60lbs or so at my healthy weight). I enjoy walks around the block, and I’m a moderate energy dog, so you won’t need to run marathons with me to keep me calm. I’ve been having a blast just hanging out in my crate, working on a puzzle toy, and sleeping during the day while foster mom is at work. I can be a little whiny when I first go in the crate but apartment living seems to suit me. I love humans, and whatever brought me to a rural shelter and then Rescue Rovers didn’t dampen my trust. I’m not sure how I feel about dogs. They seem pretty scary, but with a careful introduction I’ve enjoyed living with them. I haven’t met a cat or kids yet. I’d likely be better with older kids because I love to greet you with a jump and a big hug (my foster mom says that’s a very cute greeting but not very polite so I’m working on it). I am super food motivated so training is a breeze. I’ve already learned sit, and I’m excited to snack and learn more with you. My love of food sometimes leads me to cruise the counters for scraps.
