You must contact her owner directly. She is very smart, loyal and loving. Myrtle is very very sweet with her family and is entertaining! She is the best and highest jumper, has the most striking eyes, and is very intelligent. She is 4 years old, 18 lbs, crate trained, house broken and a joy to be around. She usually gets along fine with other dogs. Since her owner brought a new dog into their home, she has not adjusted well. They feel that Myrtle might be happier being an only dog. Owners comments: Is your dog friendly or timid with other people and dogs? She is vocal and standoffish at first, but very friendly once she gets to know you. Has your dog had exposure to cats? No Has your dog been around children and if so, how did it go? Yes- we have two children, and she has met their friends. The standard rules (vocal and standoffish at first, friendly when she warms up) apply. Is your dog vocal or quiet? Usually quiet, except for around new people and dogs (or the delivery truck!) Is your foster dog housebroken? Yes Do you think your dog would be OK if the adopter worked away from the home and the dog was alone during a normal work day? Yes, we have had to do this on occasion. Do you think your dog could be an only dog? Yes, this would be best. Describe your dogs activity level….low, moderate or high energy? she is usually low energy, although she really likes to play fetch and is a good running companion. Do you think your dog needs a fenced in yard? Or would the dog be OK with leash walks for potty breaks and exercise? She would love a fenced yard where she can run free, but she has historically been taken out for potty breaks on leash only. Are you crate training your dog and if so, how does the dog react? She has been crate trained, although we almost never crate her anymmore. Does the dog sleep in a crate at night? She has in the past, but she usually does not. What are some of your fosters favorite things to do? She loves to play fetch with squeeky toys (she loves the really durable rubber ones; she'll shred the fabric ones), to go running, to lay in the sun, and to snuggle! Do you think your foster could live in an apartment….so would be fairly quiet and OK without their own yard? I think so, but it is really an unknown.
