Meet Molly! Nice to meet you, I’m Molly! I’m a bit reserved at first, but I have a lot of love to give. I'm a senior lady, and I weigh just 16 pounds, but I could stand to lose a pound or two. I was surrendered to a shelter when my owner could no longer keep me and that was quite scary for me! But, Albert’s took me in, and I’m getting comfy in my foster home day by day. I’m feeling comfortable enough now to ask for snuggles when the humans sit on the couch. I get along with my human foster sisters here, too, since they're nice and respectful with me. I live with lots of other dogs here and I get along with them, but sometimes I have to tell them I'm the boss (ha!). I love lounging in a soft dog bed or even in my crate, since it's my quiet place. I don’t mind being crated at all, but I’m house trained and don’t destroy anything, so I don’t really need to be crated. I also hardly bark and would probably make a good apartment dog. I'm good on a leash too, and actually enjoy going for walks! I recently had a dental cleaning, and I had a lot of my teeth removed, but foster mom says it’ll make my breath smell better, and feel better too! I’m also being treated for some tick bourne diseases (anaplasma and lymes). I don’t have any symptoms, and I probably never will, but I just want to make sure I get extra good care for the rest of my days. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality and their needs. Puppy - Under 6 months Young Adult - 6 months to 2 yearsAdult - 2 years to 8 yearsSenior - 8 years to 12 yearsGolden Oldie - 12+ yearsAdoption processAlbert's Dog Lounge is a foster-based rescue providing compassionate care to special needs, senior, and hospice dogs.Our adoption process begins with a completed application. From there, we will review references and vet records. The next step is a home visit with your family. This visit may be in person or virtual. At that point, if approved, we will set up a meet and greet with available dogs. All dogs have an adoption fee of $275 for a single dog or $500 for (bonded) pair, unless otherwise noted. Note: Pairs must be adopted at the same time to get the reduced adoption fee. -Applications with incomplete information will not be processed.- All current dogs in the home must be spayed or neutered, up to date on rabies vaccination, up to date on DHLPP, up to date on Heartworm testing and preventative.- All cats in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on a rabies vaccination or wellness exam.- None of our dogs will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the adoption application and/or the adoption contract. Albert's Dog Lounge reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone.- You must agree that if you are no longer able to keep your rescue dog for whatever reason, the dog will be returned to Albert's Dog Lounge.
