Location: Lexington, SCName: LottieAge: 1.5 - 2 yearsBreed: Highly positive she’s a Maremma Sheepdog. Was told full Great Pyrenees upon intake but she has Maremma Sheepdog traits (single rear dewclaws & eye color) and only weighs 60 lbs full grownM/F: FSpayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & dhlpp; spay scheduled for 6/26Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: has ignored the cats and is fine with other dogs and childrenAggression or medical issues?: was defending food at first from other dogs (minorly) but doesnt have any issues now; heartworm positive+++ and planning to start treatment after her spayReason for rehoming?: owner surrender cause they didnt want to deal with anymore babies from her…House/crate trained?: no idea honestly because she likes to stay outdoors - she lived on a farm around farm animals in last home. I have had her in the house some and she hasn’t messed with anything, mostly just lays there unsure of what to do. Additional info/story (personality):Was extremely shy at first but warmed up amazingly fast. Only issue now is getting her leashed as when she sees it, she likes to run so I have to warm her up with treats and pets before she sees it. LOVES and has a huge weakness for treats. Likes to follow me around and is learning how to dog more now. Last owner offered minimal food and solely had her around for animal protection so she is still learning how to be loved on. Has never been mean, was just scared. LOVES playing with the other dogs and is really good at reading their behaviors and acting accordingly with the new intakes so she doesn’t overwhelm them. Meet and greets for dogs must be scheduled in advance.Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.
