Hi! My name is Toby and I am looking for a forever home. I was surrendered to a small rescue 'cause my previous owners were moving and couldn't take me with them. A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA and asked if they would help me find a forever home and they said yes! I am a little shy when first meeting new people but if you give me just a little time and some TLC so I know I can trust you, I enjoy getting attention. I appear to be a mix between a lab and possibly some golden retriever. I weigh just under 47 pounds and at just under 2 years old , I shouldn't get much bigger, and am past all of that puppy foolishness. I have done well with all of the other foster dogs I have met; however, I have started showing a little too much interest in the cats so a home without them would be best. I have done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding although I would prefer to be out with you. I also do well on a leash and enjoy going on walks and adventures. I love my food and treats which are great if you want you and me to participate in some training. PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. June 22, 2024, 11:29 amAdoption processOur adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.Shelter locationWe have weekly adoption events at PetsMart every Saturday from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm at the Eastgate Square Shopping Center, Rt. 38, Moorestown, NJ and PetsMart, 62 Centerton Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
