Hi! My name is Evie and I am looking for a forever home. My previous owner got me as a puppy and promptly put me outside in a 10x10 pen and I didn't get much attention. Fortunately, a nice lady asked them if she could have me so she could find me a home where I could be a member of the family. When they said yes, my plight came to the attention of BCAA who said they would help me... yeah! I'm about * years old so I'm past all of that puppy foolishness. I'm also a pretty big girl at *lbs 'cause I was always left with a big bag of dog food and all I had to was eat and I was always left with a big bag of dog food... but me and my foster mom are working on me getting back my figure. I was pretty confused when I first came into foster but everyone is so nice to me and I just love getting attention. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and have ignored those things called cats. While I really don't like my crate (I would much prefer to be out with my people!), I haven't had any accidents, don't bark and haven't torn up any bedding. I'm learning about that thing called a leash and am realizing it means I can be with you. PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. June 22, 2024, 11:29 amAdoption processOur adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.Shelter locationWe have weekly adoption events at PetsMart every Saturday from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm at the Eastgate Square Shopping Center, Rt. 38, Moorestown, NJ and PetsMart, 62 Centerton Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
