Mike was tugging on our volunteer’s heartstrings this weekend! He was very nervous and timid, but we were thrilled to see his tail wag when he met a couple of small dogs. He seems to do well around other dogs and is submissive. Please don’t hesitate if you’d like to meet Mike; we just know he’s going to be a great pet once he’s able to trust again.June 21, 2024, 1:23 amAdoption processAdoption Requirements You must be 18 years of age or older. The adoption fee is $200.00 for dogs and $100 for cats and covers vaccinations and spay/neuter. Should you want to donate more, we will graciously accept it! A securely fenced yard is required, unless otherwise approved. You must fill out our online adoption application for cats or for dogs. A background check will be conducted, this may include checking out your residence, inquiring with your veterinarian, etc. All animals will be spayed or neutered before adoption. You must uphold state laws. You must sign and abide by our adoption contract. You agree to provide lots of tender loving care. Our adoption application can be found on our website at AAVARescue.com
