Animal Profile: Ria is an a 5 month old Lab mix (best guess) who joined us from Texas on 4/15. She was in a foster home there and she’s good with cats, other dogs, and kiddos. Loves to be outside. Not too fond of being crated but is learning. Whines a little but settles down after a short time. Will sleep pretty much all night. Will entertain herself with toys but loves having a playmate. Doesn’t stray from her people. Foster Update: Ria is a silly, sweet and energetic little girl. She will probably grow into a 40-50 lb, mid-size dog. She loves to play fetch and keep away from resident dogs. Any toy is her favorite toy, and she will skip and prance it back to her bed to chew on it. She takes to redirection very well. She is doing really well in her crate and with potty training. She is a social butterfly and loves all people, big or small. If there is a lap, she will throw herself into it and cuddle as long as the hands are petting. She is learning proper play behavior around other dogs and loves to run and wrestle. She will be a great companion for anyone who loves to play and adventure. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
