The Most Precious Puppy In Like.Ever!Hi everyone! My name is Ella and Im a 16 week old Olde English Bulldog pup! Before you get too excited, you oughta know that CEBR will only adopt me to a PRIOR CEBR Adopter. Yep. I know, you may be sad about that. But CEBR believes strongly that people that have shown a prior and concerted commitment to our rescue in the past, should have the first chance at adopting puppies. We are RARE in rescue indeed!Soif you are prior rescuer with CEBR, read on!CEBR got a call from an emergency vet in the middle of the night a few weeks back. I was in bad shape and the vet knew CEBR would help. I had been a new home (it was my second home I think.and Im sooo young). I was only there for a little over a week. The folks had two other dogs and I was learning the ropes about how to be a puppy in that house. Well lo and behold, one of the other much bigger dogs decided that I was annoying and he went after me. He took me in his mouth and shook me and held on tight. It really hurt. I was really injured. So those folks took me to the ER and it all started there.The dog crushed my skull in various places. Over my temporal lobe, my jaw was broken, and my eye socket was shattered into many pieces. My whole face was swollen and I was a wreck. Those folks couldnt afford the extensive care that would be required to help me heal, and also realized I shouldnt go back into the home with that other dog it was too risky. I'm glad that made that wise decision. Because here I am now!CEBR agreed right there on the spot to step in and make sure I got the care I needed. I received top notch ER and critical care and was heading to my new foster home within days to heal.CEBR was worried that I may lose my eye, or potentially have brain damage, of course that I may be terrified of other dogs, not to mention many other potential disabilities after an incident like this.But you know what? They did such a good job helping me through the healing process that Im pleased to report I am feeling great, have no actual developmental issues, and while my face is not perfectly symmetrical anymore, my broken bones are healing and Im learning to be a regular old puppy again!My foster mom has a few other bulldogs that are very gentle dogs. They have taught me to trust again. As a matter of fact, I took a break from playing with the youngest one (we play for hours!) to write my profile!So heres what you need to know about all of this cuteness. Im about 16 weeks old now, I will be spayed once I am old enough (its too soon now), and I am also up to date on my puppy inoculations. I run like the wind. I hope through the air. I chase balls. I gnaw on toys. I eat like a little piggy. I romp and play and enjoy every moment of life. I am almost potty trained (about 90%!) and Im a good puppy - I do the normal puppy things, chew on chairs, pull toilet paper off the roll, ya knowthe stuff that makes us adorable.I love to be held by my humans and cuddled in their arms for a good nap. I absolutely positively MUST have another playmate dog that will be gentle with me but also romp and prance and have a ball. I thrive on this energy and it is helping me learn the ropes of what a grown dog should do!Im ready for my forever home now. One that will protect me, and love me, and give me lots of exercise, and take lots of pictures (because Im so stinking cute). One that will take me on lots of walks (Im doing great on a leash and harness), and one that will always have my best interests are heart. Forever.
