Abbey was just rescued from a high kill shelter because the shelter sent my rescue an email plea for her to be saved due to her being such a good dog and they could not extend her any longer. Abbey had been at an overcrowded shelter since Oct 2023 and was a shelter/volunteer favorite. She was kenneled with multiple dogs and did well in the play yard with male dogs and submissive females her size. She is beautiful with a grey and white coat, medium size, what we call an "itty bitty pitty". She gives the sweetest kisses and will make a great addition to an active dog loving family. Abbey has been thoroughly vetted and will be spayed before going to a foster/adopter home. We also are in search of a local foster home with a fenced secure yard and ideally someone who works from home. Note: Abbey will be cat tested at the vet's office so will update how she is with cats. I do not have a website or online application.Shelter locationAll dogs for adoption are in foster homes in So. CA where the meet and greets typically take place or at an arranged neutral territory when appropriate. All dogs and family members are required to come in person for the meet and greet if possible. Dog to dog assessments are usually done by my trainer. I do not participate in adoption events.
