My name is Ariel Ambrosia! I'm a 4-year-old beagle mix and I'm currently weighing in at 15 pounds. I am enjoying my time with my foster family and all the 4-legged dogs here, but I'm looking for my final stop, a place to call home. I'm told I have some health issues starting with being diagnosed heart worm positive stage 2, have an enlarged heart and blood vessels due to those pesky heart worms. I've already started my treatment. I have 1 injection under my belt and 2 more left to go. I'm told that I need plenty of rest and I'm not to get excited even when it's time to eat. I'm really getting used to sleeping the day away in the dog bed I have picked out and also sleep curled up in a small ball in the human's bed right next to my Fommy and most of the time touching another dog. I can sleep the entire night away - no worries there! I love simply being touched and petted and really like being near you. I'm told I have some separation anxiety because I don't want to be left alone. Here's a little info: I am house broken, and I will go in a crate, but will protest about it. I have proven that I'm 100% trustworthy when left out without any issues. I enjoy being around other dogs - it's kind of crazy at my foster house because I've been around 7 other dogs and we all like each other. I really just kind of observe them and do what they do. If anyone goes to the kitchen - I manage to get myself up pretty quick to see if I can get some food or at least some crumbs. I enjoy sitting in a lap and taking a nap while the tv is on. Since no one cared enough about me to give me a monthly prevent, I'm not ready to go to my forever home. Give me some time to heal and I will be ready to go home with you. Let's go ahead and mark our calendars and pencil me in for mid-October/early November. I'll wait for you, if you wait for me. I would love to meet my new family soon; I've been waiting for you.
