For this reason, he is best suited to a home without children. Once he gets to know you, he is a Velcro dog, enjoying time right beside his human. He is quiet and clean, leading us to believe he was likely housebroken in his previous home. Asa has been kind with the other dogs in rescue. We are seeking a home for him with a secure yard in which to exercise and potty, and with an owner who leads a quiet, predictable life. We know Asa will enjoy being a couch potato! Our adoption process starts with your email to XXXX@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
