Astro is a 7 year old rescue that came to the states from Anguilla, where he lived as a stray. He was displaced and rescued by an organization after Hurricane Irma. Astro is nervous upon introduction and his fear presents itself in defensiveness. When Astro is properly acquainted he is loyal, loving, and playful. Astro is very facially expressive and almost appears to smile when overly excited. He is receptive to encouragement and would thrive in a more quiet household as he is over stimulated with too much commotion. As a household with small children, other dogs, and cats - we are motivated in seeking the proper home for Astro, but patient as we want what's best for both him and a new prospective family. He would be a perfect fit for a senior looking for a dedicated companion or as a farm dog with plenty of land to roam.
