Meet Audi! A handsome young pup who came to our shelter when his guardian could no longer take care of him. He is 1-year-old and he currently weighs 58 pounds. Audi is a very lovable guy! His previous guardian stated that he LOVES to be in a big bed full of toys that he can chew on! He also gets along great with everyone, including children, dogs, and even a Guinea pig. Audi is just a very social guy who is ready to have his new family come sweep him off his paws and take him on all sorts of adventures! Here`s what one of volunteers had to say about her outing with Audi, “This morning I had the pleasure of taking Audi on a HAT outing. Audi was laying quietly in his bed when I arrived. Putting on his harness was easy and he jumped right in the backseat of the car. He was calm riding in the car & stayed seated, looking around while driving. Our first stop was at Lowe’s, where we walked around for a few minutes & then headed to the Customer Service counter. He was very friendly to the staff (who gave him a milk-bone) and let several other people waiting in line pet him. About 20 minutes later, we headed to the Milagro Community Garden. It’s a large, completely fenced space with trees, bushes, birds, squirrels, and, of course, individual garden plots. Audi spent about 20 minutes just sniffing/exploring & then came back & rested under my sunflowers. He was quite interested in watching me water and harvest vegetables - especially a large zucchini that he started chewing on and throwing around. Several times he wandered away from my plot, but always came right to me when I started walking around. He definitely thrives in the company of people, yet is inquisitive and displays a good bit of independence. After about an hour, we left making a cold drink stop at Panera. While there (sitting at the patio), a couple of team members came by to visit - with whom he was quite friendly and frequently rolled on his back for a belly rub! Overall, we had a good day & brought back some fresh flowers & veggies for the staff.”Audi’s adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped and has age appropriate vaccinations.
